LARRY MILLER
Special Projects Manager
As Special Projects Manager for Ceisler Media, Larry Miller wears many hats and assists a myriad of clients. He is skilled in media management, crisis management, blog writing and coordinating event coverage. He is adept at prepping people – from seasoned CEOs to students – to serve as public spokespeople.
He furthers the goals of clients in areas such as public-private school partnerships, charter schools, privately run prisons and public housing.
For example, in 2016 Larry helped Mastery Charter Schools make the case that they could effectively manage the then-troubled John Wister Elementary School in Germantown. He helped Mastery officials – as well as parents and students – frame the narrative and present testimony to the Philadelphia School Reform Commission. In the end, Mastery was awarded a contract to run Wister, and scholastic performance there has improved dramatically.
He also has served as the spokesman for Philadelphians Against Higher Grocery Taxes.
Larry covers Philadelphia City Council on a regular basis to keep clients and other Ceisler team members aware of legislation that might impact their interests. He knows the names and issues that need to be known.
Larry joined Ceisler Media team in 2016 after a distinguished career as a journalist. He worked 12 years for the Philadelphia Tribune, covering many of the biggest crime, political and court-related stories in Philadelphia. He won three National Association of Black Journalists awards and appeared on national network and cable news discussing stories he covered.
Larry grew up in West Philadelphia, graduating from Overbrook High School and, later, the Community College of Philadelphia. He resides in Philadelphia with his wife, Karla.

Larry is working on a novel titled "Dark Inheritance." The story of a husband and father who becomes trapped in the shadowy underworld of vampires.
