For the second year, FS Investments served as the title sponsor of the U.S. Open Squash tournament hosted at Drexel University. In this guest commentary, FS Chairman & CEO Michael Forman and Drexel University President John Fry, call on business, political, academic and athletic—to follow the example set by U.S. Squash and join us in our efforts to create a more inclusive and equitable city.
Walmart donated griddles, cooking utensils, paper products and all of the food needed to prepare the meals for the hundreds of Veterans in attendance for this year's Stand Down Pittsburgh. Walmart employees also donated their time serving and volunteering for this terrific event.
Comcast just wrapped up its second LIFT Labs Accelerator, which hosted 11 startup companies for 13 weeks to support entrepreneurs from various industries in refining their business plans with mentors from Comcast, TechStars and other industry leaders. The program culminated with a Demo Day on October 10 featuring Comcast executives including CEO Brian Roberts and Chief Business Development Officer Sam Schwartz.
