Meet Our Spring Interns!

February 21, 2019

Ceisler Media has interns year-round. Our interns help out with a variety of daily tasks and long-term projects. Now that our spring interns are settled in, meet Amana, Katherine and Camila!

The Basics

Name: Amana Abdurrezak

  • University: Bryn Mawr College

  • Major: International Studies

  • Expected Graduation Date: May 2019

  • Favorite class to date: It’s a tie between my News & Feature Writing class and my International Security class. In News & Feature Writing, I loved seeking out people’s stories and writing about them using varying levels of creativity. And with my security class, it was stimulating to learn about how different international powers define security and react to changes in the global arena.

Why You’re Here

What drew you to intern at Ceisler Media?

I’m drawn to the impact and influence effective communication has on society and different populations. I wanted to intern at Ceisler Media to understand  how businesses can influence public opinion and how an effective communications strategy can boost or hurt organizations’ public image.

What are you hoping to get out of this experience?

I’m hoping to improve my ability to write and strategize in a fast-paced environment! And considering I’m not a native Philadelphian, I want to get a better feel for how companies build strong relationships with different parts of this city.

What issue(s) are you most excited to work on?

I’m excited to work on environmental issues and improving sustainability!
