Drew Murren works as part of Ceisler Media’s Harrisburg team, where his experience and working relationships with the Capitol press corps regularly benefits clients.
Drew focuses on media outreach, working to get stories placed or serving as a contact person between clients and reporters. As a lifelong resident of Harrisburg, he has a deep understanding of state politics and knows his way around the corridors of the Capitol.
His expertise as a writer makes him effective in drafting op-eds, letters to the editor and other articles. His ability at developing contacts and relationships makes him a positive advocate.
Before joining Ceisler Media, Drew was Communications Director/Public Affairs Coordinator for the Pennsylvania Commission for Community Colleges, a statewide advocacy group where he worked directly with the president/CEO, writing speeches and preparing her for legislative testimony. He produced weekly newsletters, managed the Commission’s social media and website, and gained invaluable insight into the Legislature’s appropriations process.

He began his career as an Academic Success Specialist helping students at HACC, Central Pennsylvania’s Community College. He still serves as a writing and speech tutor in the Writing Center at HACC, and believes strongly in the community college mission.

Drew holds a B.A. in American Studies, with concentrations in Literature and Politics from the University of Notre Dame. He currently lives in downtown Harrisburg, across the street from the Capitol.

He is a news junkie, who follows dozens of reporters on Twitter and loves learning the details of state and national issues before they hit the paper.
He is a fantasy football authority who will gladly help you with your draft at no additional charge. Beyond the X’s and O’s, Drew is fascinated by the marketplace of top-tier football talent, and enjoys events like National Signing Day, the start of NFL free agency, and the NFL Draft almost as much as the games themselves
