Christopher Cashman joined Ceisler Media in May of 2016, bringing decades of experience to the firm as a senior consultant.
Chris served as Executive Vice President and President of Commercial Markets at Independence Blue Cross (Independence). In this role, he had overall profit and loss responsibility for the company’s commercial health markets, including marketing and sales and ancillary businesses. In addition, he was responsible for corporate communications, advertising, and creative services.
He joined Independence in December 1997 from S.R. Wojdak & Associates, where he directed the development and successful implementation of governmental relations strategies for a broad-based group of clients in the health care, education, economic development, transportation, sports and hospitality industries.
Chris was formerly first Deputy Director of Commerce for the City of Philadelphia. He also served as Vice President for Project Development at the Philadelphia Industrial Development Corporation and as a senior manager at the Philadelphia City Planning Commission.
Chris serves on a number of boards including the United Way of Southeastern Pennsylvania, YMCA Philadelphia & Vicinity, Zoological Society of Philadelphia, World Affairs Council of Philadelphia and the Girls Scouts of Southeastern Pennsylvania.
He is a graduate of DeSales University with a bachelor’s degree in political science.
In 2012, Chris was named Father of the Year by the Father’s Day Council of Greater Philadelphia in recognition of his community and corporate leadership.
Chris enjoys summers with his family in Ocean City, N.J. He has never turned down an opportunity to golf, and once shot 70 at the Great Bay Country Club in Somers Point, N.J.
He savors an occasional glass of a nice Cabernet, particularly when he has the opportunity to be with his good friend, former Eagles coach and current vintner Dick Vermeil.
